WMG News. Save the date!
 
The annual WMG one day seminar will be held
Saturday June 14th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. This
seminar is free for the church and a lunch is served.
 
Ladies, when you stop to think about it, Christian women face many challenges in the Home, Church and Society as a whole. We will be exploring these issues with our theme: Women on the Front Lines (A guiding light for Christ) Our facilitator will be Minister Cabrina Bundy. The Sign-Up sheet is on the table outside the secretary’s office.

EON’S TRIP – The Eons will be traveling to Savannah, Jekyll Island and Beaufort, South Carolina on June 1-7, 2025. If anyone is interested in traveling with us, please contact Marian Spann or Zellner Barry.

SUMMER COMPUTER CAMP
There will be a computer camp meeting on Tuesday June 13th in the Ministry Center from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. All of our men, women and teens who would like to help with this ministry should attend this meeting. Please text Deacon Rowan if you plan to attend.

The Nursing Home Ministry has resumed visitation to the symphony of Morgan Park Nursing facility, located at 10935 S. Halsted. There is also a sign-up sheet on the table under the bulletin board. Looking forward to this worthwhile ministry. Nursing Home Committee

BLACK HISTORY MOMENT
The state of Mississippi recognized Mr. Robert D. Pointer among the first African American business owners. Mr. Robert Pointer is the grandfather of Mildred Maynie and Marie Moore. His Marker will be unveiled on May 17, 2025.

Comfort Ministry
 
Strength from Weakness- Growing through Suffering (My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9). We have started the next phase of our comfort ministry. We will journey together to explore the healing process by growing through suffering and becoming more resilient, so we are better prepared to face suffering in the future.
 
We will explore and experience deeper levels of healing. Our goal is to help gain skills to connect with others in healthier ways so that the underlying causes of trauma are addressed to find and fulfill our purpose in life. We meet in the Fellowship Hall on Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There is a sign-up sheet for these sessions in outside the church office.
