Something to Think About
MORE THAN ENOUGH Craig A. Cooper
Do you not yet perceive? Do you not remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you gathered? Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many baskets you gathered? Matthew 16:9-10
How quickly we can forget the mercies of God brought to us in answer to our earnest prayers! We cry out in our distress, the Lord delivers us, and then like the Israelites we forget the works He has performed on our behalf. Our hearts are prone to wander, and that wandering starts the moment we forget the wonders God has done (Ps. 106:13).
Lord, please save us from our spiritual amnesia! God’s grace and mercy have always been more than enough. Jesus and the disciples were in a boat, heading across the lake. When they reached the shore, they remembered that they hadn’t brought anything to eat.
Though Matthew 16:9-10 doesn’t spell it out, we can assume they started to worry and fret about provisions for a meal. That’s when Jesus asked, “Don’t you remember…?” God is able to fully satisfy the multitudes with a plentiful provision. Just as the disciples picked up leftovers after the miraculous meals the Savior provided, so God meets our needs such that we have room to share as our cup runs over (Ps. 23:5).
So, let’s not forget, whether it’s a work God did for us yesterday or a year ago. I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds. Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God?
You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples. You with your arm redeemed your people (Psalm 77:11-15).

From the Pastor’s heart;
Don’t forget to use this time to reach out to others. Spend some time each day calling members on the telephone and offering to pray with them.

Pastors Requests
Remember II Chronicles 7:14. “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land.”
Remember II Chronicles 7:14. “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land.”
While we wait on God’s healing grace, let us fast and pray for His visitation. Pray for God to intervene and bring an end to this virus that we are facing. Pray for God to calm our spirits and help us to trust Him.
Pray for the lost to be saved. Pray for the unrighteous to turn to God. Pray for God to be glorified in the crisis we are going through. Pray in faith; pray with the confidence that God will hear and answer our prayers.
