Dear Members and Supporters of Bellevue,
Grace be unto you from God, our Father and from His Son, Jesus Christ. We trust that God’s love and protection continue to overshadow you. In response to the crisis surrounding the Coronavirus, our Church has been closed since the last of March 2020. We have been vigilant to abide by the restrictions of the state concerning meeting in the Church building for Worship. We thank God for His hand of protection and provision during this period of quarantine. I also want to thank you for your faithfulness during this shutdown period. Thank you for your prayers, online participation and generous giving to our Church.

God has blessed us to mintain contact with our membership during this pandemic. The weekly sermons, Bible Studies, Sunday School Zoom meetings, telephone calls and office visits have kept us in contact with one another.  We have been praying for God to intervene and bring an end to this crisis so we can reopen our building and resume our meeting together for worship. To prepare us for this move we have in place a reopening committee. We have been meeting since June planning for reopening our church.

Here are some things that we plan to do to begin the process of reopening our Church. Starting today, September 20th we plan to have a parking lot communion service. Members will be asked to remain in their cars and wear masks while communion is being served. Starting at 9:00 a.m. in the morning,  we will be serving at the top of each hour. We will be able to serve 50 cars each hour.

We also plan to to have  a parking lot worship service on Sunday, September 27th.  Members attending this service will still remain in their cars. Only the participants in the worship service will be on the outside.

We are also planning a worship service for Homecoming in the Ministry Center on October 18, 2020.  This service will follow the guidelines of the state for gatherings.  This means only a specific number of people will be able to attend this serivce. Those who plan to attend the service are requested to call the Church office and sign up.  If the situation regarding this pandemic changes, our plans for this service will be altered. Our planing committee has put together some guidelines for reopening our Church.

To maintain our fellowsihp around God’s Word, we will continue to record our sermons and Bible Studies online. Keep us in your prayers as we plan to reopen the church for worship.

Blessings in Christ,
Pastor Lucious Fullwood
