Welcome
1
We want to take this opportunity to welcome you to Bellevue Baptist Church of Chicago. We are a group of people who love God and we love the people that God sends to us! As you view our Website, we hope you will get to know us better and be inclined to share a worship service with us. We are located on the far south side of Chicago at 10700 South Emerald Ave. Our Ministry Center is adjacent to our Church building at 10715 South Halsted Street.

We have two worship services each Sunday, one at 8:00 a.m. and one at 11:00 a.m. Sunday School is from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. We are a friendly Church and we believe God has called us to reach our community with the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This approach to the Christian faith leads us to be concerned about the whole person. We want everyone who comes to Bellevue to have a good worship experience on Sunday. We are also concerned about our community. If you have spiritual or physical needs, we are open to serve you seven days a week. We invite you to visit our church and let us minister to you and your family.

Invitation to Christ

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, we encourage you to do it today! The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. He was buried and He rose again (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). If you accept Jesus Christ by faith, God will save you.

You can accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior by inviting Him to come into your heart today. You must be willing to turn from your sins and follow Him. If you believe that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and accept His death on the cross for your sins, God will give you the gift of eternal life.

Your decision to accept Christ as your personal Savior and Lord must be followed up with baptism and Church membership. Church membership is necesary for every believer. We cannot live the Christian life apart from other believers.

The local Church is a source of strength and encouragement for believers. It is in the context of the local Church where the Word of God is taught, new believers are baptized and nurtured, the Lord’s Supper is celebrated, offerings are gathered, missionaries are commissioned and other activities are conducted for the edification of believers. All Christians should be united with a local Church and attend its services regularly.

If you are a Christian and do not have a Church home, we are inviting you to join Bellevue. We would be happy to be your Church home. We are not a perfect Church, but we love the Lord and we try to please Him.
