THOUGHT TO REMEMBER
God is not like the unrighteous Judge. He answers our prayers because He loves us. He loves us more than a good parent.

Something to Think About

OUR SOURCE OF COMMUNICATION WITH GOD Charles Stanley

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says…..” Revelation 2:7
One of the roles of Holy Spirit is that of intercessor. He literally intercedes for us in prayer. “And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God” (Romans 8:26-27).

Ask God to give you a heart that longs to know more about Him.

• Pray that you will be made sensitive to God’s Spirit, His leading, and the ways He seeks to communicate with you. While God spoke primarily through His prophets in the Old Testament, today He speaks to the hearts and minds of those willing to seek Him.
• Realize that Satan will try anything to separate you from God. Refuse to yield to thoughts of condemnation, defeat, and fear.
Romans 8:1 says: “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

Hebrews 13:5b-6 reminds us there is no need to fear or become discouraged. Jesus is with us always. This is the promise and the role of His Spirit. ” … for He Himself has said, ‘I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,’ so that we confidently say, ‘The Lord is my Helper, I will not be afraid.”

“God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24

From the Pastor’s heart;

Don’t forget to use this time to reach out to others. Spend some time each day calling members on the telephone and offering to pray with them.

Pastors Requests
Remember II Chronicles 7:14. “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land.”

While we wait on God’s healing grace, let us fast and pray for His visitation. Pray for God to intervene and bring an end to this virus that we are facing. Pray for God to calm our spirits and help us to trust Him.

Pray for the lost to be saved. Pray for the unrighteous to turn to God. Pray for God to be glorified in the crisis we are going through. Pray in faith; pray with the confidence that God will hear and answer our prayers.
